Anna's Story
engaging her culture led to
inspiring others
“This is my way of returning, for a purpose” says Anna Massad. Anna, born in Medellín Colombia, was adopted when she was 5 months old. “I hadn’t returned to Colombia since I was born, but wanted to reconnect with my culture, the community and share my good fortune with other students.”
As a student at the University of Chicago, Anna has a love for learning, winning the Emperor’s Science Award and conducting Cancer research. She realized these are opportunities afforded to her because she resides in the US. She believed it is her calling to give others that same gift. It was this passion that drove her to create Educación Sin Fronteras.
Anna is actively engaged in the charity, supporting the school and children through providing resources to further their English education. This education goes beyond learning and truly engages students across the world.
